💡 About OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

OCR technology converts images of text into machine-readable text format. Our advanced OCR engine uses Tesseract.js to accurately recognize text from scanned documents, photos, screenshots, and other image formats.

Perfect for digitizing printed documents, extracting text from business cards, converting handwritten notes (with varying accuracy), processing invoices and receipts, and making scanned PDFs searchable.

🌍 Supported Languages (100+)

Our OCR tool supports text extraction in over 100 languages including:

🇬🇧 English
🇪🇸 Spanish
🇫🇷 French
🇩🇪 German

🎯 Tips for Best OCR Results

1. Image Quality: Use high-resolution images (at least 300 DPI) for best results. Clear, sharp images produce more accurate text extraction.

2. Lighting & Contrast: Ensure good contrast between text and background. Avoid shadows, glare, or low-light conditions that can reduce accuracy.

3. Text Orientation: Keep text horizontal and properly aligned. Rotated or skewed text may reduce accuracy.

4. Font & Size: Clear, standard fonts work best. Very small text (below 10pt) or decorative fonts may have lower recognition rates.

5. Language Selection: Always select the correct language for your document to improve accuracy significantly.

🔒 Privacy & Security

Your privacy is our priority. All OCR processing happens entirely in your browser using client-side technology. Your images and extracted text are never uploaded to our servers or any external service. All data remains on your device and is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab.
